Most dog owners already know about the affect fireworks can have on their pooch. Even so, there’s a lot of good advice on this subject that even experienced dog owners can benefit from.

So as a reminder to them, and to help first-time dog owners that might be searching for info, click the link below.

Keep Dogs Indoors During Fireworks – Tips

Fourth of July can be a time of chaos for our pets. Most dog owners know that fireworks can send their little buddy into a full sprint — ending who knows where.

To help pets at this frantic time, Homeward Pet Adoption Center in Woodinville is doing something really great. They’re offering free microchips for dogs and cats this week through Friday (7/1) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

I saw this story on the wonderful Seattle Dog Spot blog. Read more about the free microchipping here.

The Fourth of July holiday weekend is coming fast — and I can personally tell you that a lot of people are looking for pet sitters in Seattle. Pet sitting is a great solution if you’re planing to go out-of-town for vacation and can’t bring your fur baby with you.

My phone’s been ringing a whole bunch the last week. And yes, this is a service we provide at Sniff Seattle Dog Walkers!

Sniff Seattle’s pet sitting services are designed so your dog or cat can enjoy the comfort of their own home while you’re away. We make two or three “house calls” a day to feed and walk them. That way they can stick to their normal feeding routine, and get all the exercise, playtime and loving attention they’re used to.

Naturally, we take care of any water refreshing or clean-up at your house that may be needed. Plus, we’re skilled at administering any medication your pet may be taking, if needed.

Finally, we understand there might be a few things around the house you would like to have done while you’re away. So as part of the comprehensive service we love doing for you, if you want, we can bring in the newspaper, mail or any packages; water plants; and rotate the lights or blinds. Whatever needs to be done.

We want you to have complete peace-of-mind during your vacation time! If you’re looking for exceptional pet sitting at an affordable price, check the services page on our website and give me a call.

One of these is powerful. But so are people. (Photo from NOAA Photo Library/Flickr)

Hundreds of displaced dogs and cats found new homes this weekend as 3,000 people from 24 states rolled into Joplin, Missouri to adopt animal victims of last month’s destructive tornado.

It’s a reminder in the aftermath of the deadly natural disaster that people always pull together and pull through. We fix, rebuild, care for, and set things right!

I just realized that I haven’t shared in this blog something that’s close to my heart. It’s something I tell new clients, or prospective new clients, every day. And if you have a sec, I’ll share it with you right now.

My company Sniff Seattle Dog Walkers is my “baby.” I want it to succeed. So whatever it takes to make you happy, I’m going to do it!

So, if you need to make last minutes changes to the schedule, no problem! If you need to alter the service we’re doing for you, no worries! Whatever comes up, we’re going to find a solution.

Keeping you happy and satisfied with the services you’re paying for makes us happy and satisfied — and allows our “baby” to grow and succeed! As a small business owner, I look forward to creating more local jobs and making my community a better place to live.

If this level of customer service and community involvement sounds good to you (and I hope it does), please give me a call or shoot me an email. I can answer any and all of your questions — and we can look at all the pet care options for your individual situation.

I know what’s it’s like deciding on a new dog walking service. I’ve done it myself in the past. It’s takes some thought, instinct and checking around. It’s so important to find someone who you’re comfortable with.

So, check out my “baby,” and see what you think!

The Time To Save Is Now. When A Dog Gets A Bone, He Doesn’t Go Out And Make A Down Payment On A Bigger Bone…

22 Jun
Dog Quotes, Will Rogers, Saving, Dog Bone

Here's one of those "financial advisors" (Photo by Scot Campbell/Flickr)

The time to save is now. When a dog gets a bone, he doesn’t go out and make a down payment on a bigger bone. He buries the one he’s got. ~ Will Rogers

I’m no financial wiz. But in this economy, I suspect our dogs (and Will Rogers) are on to something!
