PUP Dog Rescue finds homes for small and toy breeds (Photo by Astig!!/Flickr)
One of our favorite local groups we follow on Twitter is People United for Pets (@PUPDogRescue). We enjoy their tweets and blogs — but most of all, the great job they’re doing finding homes for dogs!
PUP mostly rescues small and toy breeds. That’s their specialty. And they’re a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. When it comes to describing their mission, I can’t say it any better than they do:
“Countless dogs are without homes and in need of assistance. These are dogs who would make wonderful and faithful companions if only they could connect with the right person or family. We have made it our mission to help them do this. At the same time we hope to enrich the lives of those who adopt them.” (from peopleunitedforpets.com)
This tweet from yesterday also sums it up:

Just cuz we rescue small breed dogs, doesn’t mean they’re all #Chihuahuas! We have #FoxTerrier #Corgi #Dachshund #Pekingese #Poodle #Terrier & MORE!!
So, if you live in the Seattle area and want the love and companionship that a new dog can bring to your home, check out People United for Pets! Here’s the current list of wonderful dogs they’re looking to match with forever homes.
