“In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn’t merely try to train him to be semi human. The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog.” ~ Edward Hoagland

You know we have a lotta love for Greyhounds. You may have even met in one of these posts me and Jeanna’s awesome Greyhound, Movie.

Well, we have a couple new hounds we get to spend a half hour with each day. Calvin and Hobbes recently joined our Sniff Seattle dog walking family. Welcome, guys!

They’ve got everybody doing a double double take!

Inscription On The Monument Of A Newfoundland Dog

9 Jun
Sniff Seattle, Dog Quotes, George Gordon

Near this spot… (Photo by Per Ola Wiberg/Flickr)

“Near this spot are deposited the remains of one who possessed Beauty without Vanity, Strength without Insolence, Courage without Ferocity, and all the Virtues of Man, without his Vices. This Praise, which would be unmeaning Flattery if inscribed over human ashes, is but a just tribute to the Memory of Boatswain, a Dog.” ~ George Gordon aka Lord Byron, ‘Inscription on the Monument of a Newfoundland Dog’
