Happy Valentine’s Day from everybody at SNIFF Seattle Dog Walkers, the region’s most loving (and loved!) dog walking and puppy care service.
In honor of all the dog lovers among us, here are “The Top Ten Signs You’re A Dog Lover.”
Ever had a bad experience at a dog park? You’re not alone. While Sniff Seattle specializes in one-on-one neighborhood dog walks, we know many of our clients, and dog owners in general, will venture to the dog park from time-to-time.
Here’s a really great list of dog park dos and donts from the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.
The best advice boils down to people making sure they know their dog and that they pay attention during their visits so that the experience is a great one for their dog and the other pooches at the dog park.

Walk Play Love Tee Shirts from Sniff Seattle
Dogs and people running together, helping a great cause. That’s what the Furry 5K on Sunday, June 10 at 10:00 am at Seward Park is all about.
Every year in Seattle, thousands of pet lovers gather for this wonderful event. And many of those people participate in the 5K race, running or walking with their dog and raising money for the Seattle Animal Shelter’s Help the Animals Fund.
Try and imagine the vet bill for 7,000 strays and you’ll understand right away why the Seattle Animal Shelter holds this race. Seven thousand strays every year, many who arrive at the shelter sick, injured or abused.
So, raising the money is crucial. And anyone reading this can help. You can donate HERE!
If you want to run or walk in the race, pre-registration is $20 without the tee shirt and $25 with the tee shirt. To register on the day of the race, it’s $30.
We’ll be at the event ourselves. We hope you’ll stop by the Sniff Seattle tent and help us raise money for the Help the Animals Fund.
See ya there!

It doesn’t get much simpler than this. One of our favorite dogs (and his owners) moved to West Seattle. Rather than say goodbye to a beloved furry friend, we decided to expand our service area once again!
Sniff Seattle Dog Walkers is walking dogs in West Seattle’s North Admiral, Alki and Genesee neighborhoods.
Cover a whole new territory because of one dog? Sounds kinda crazy, right? Well, we love our dogs and love making their owners happy. It’s just what we do.
If this kind of dedication to customer service appeals to you (and you’re looking for dog walking or other pet care services), give us a call sometime.

Rising country group The Band Perry just helped the Humane Society of Tampa Bay “clean up” at their recent charity dog wash.
The group, sister Kimberly and two brothers Neil and Reid Perry, were hands-on at yesterday’s fundraiser — or more accurately “hands-wet” — washing dogs all morning at the event.
The group’s members are passionate pet lovers, and made a donation of $10,000 to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, according to a report from The Boot. The Band Perry was in Tampa opening for singer Tim McGraw on his Emotional Traffic tour.

Rappers have tough task when they’re starting out. They have to find the best “rapper name!” It can be a make or break thing — so many have gone “canine.”
Before counting down the “Top Five Rappers With Dog Names,” let me tell you who didn’t make the list.
Tim Dog, Phunk Dawg, Milkbone and McGruff. I appreciate the effort. But this list is reserved for performers that the masses have, um, heard of. The only McGruff I know is the Crimedog.
MC Breed fell short, mainly because I wasn’t sure if “breed” was being used as a noun or a verb.
Finally, there’s Randy Jackson. And while he’s not a rapper, and his name is “Randy” not “Rover,” his frequent use of the word “dawg” on American Idol is worthy of an honorable mention.
Ready to see the “Top Five Rapper With Dog Names”? Count ’em down HERE!
